‘Fear leads to disbelieving God and disbelieving God is a sin’.

All the new beginnings often start with fear. We all are living in a generation where fear is growing, all the human beings are the slaves of “fear” except God’s children. The children of God can rejoice always because the Lord who delivered us from all kinds of temptation and trials will also deliver us from all kinds of fear and sin. Though Almighty God wants us to get freedom from fear, we human being are also gifted with a choice; ‘Choice of freedom from fear’ or ‘choice of being [2]enslaved to fear’.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6  Read Bible Verse

There are many areas in our life where we automatically fear even before we start that particular task or journey, it may be because of authority, punishment, or because of losing our image in front of others which again leads to [1]hypocrisy. Trusting the Sovereign Lord to overcome the areas we fear the most is the perfect way, at times when we fear new challenges, we forget God’s wonderful mercy that helped us to overcome the previous challenge and then sadly it leads to our own understanding and our own will. The word of God has the solution for every problem.

The “Holy Spirit which is our counselor always helps us whenever fear and anxiety enters our heart by giving the living Word of God as the living manna for the day”. An ideal example about this is Apostle Paul who had no fear of the authorities who were going to execute him but was encouraging other believers to rejoice in the Lord always. (Philippians 4:4)  Read Bible Verse.

” There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love”.1 John 4:18 (NLT)  Read Bible Verse

The above verse clearly explains to us that there is no fear in love, it also clearly says that perfect love drives out fear. If I fear still, it is because I am not made perfect in Lord’s love, I am still in fear of punishment. Loving Almighty God fully with you whole heart, mind, soul and strength will deliver us from fear. If we miss out God’s will in our life then that opens doors to many reasons for fear to enter.

We all are aware about a famous quote of Sir Billy Graham- “The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.”

“Fear of the Lord is a life - giving fountain, it offers escape from the snares of death”. Proverbs 14:27 (NLT)  Read Bible Verse

“You dear children are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world”-1 John 4:4(NIV)  Read Bible Verse

All kinds of fear in this earth leads to death, the only FEAR that leads us to life is fear of GOD – it gives life to the hungry souls, it protects us from all kinds of sin, it gives us wisdom and knowledge from God’s word; in other words, if we fear GOD, we need not fear anything which is against us because those who fear GOD can fight all the battles alone. In the Holy Bible we can see many God-fearing men and women who stood alone but gained victory for God’s Glory. For example- Jeremiah, Elijah, Esther.

We all have forgot the word “overcome”; when our struggle makes us weary and tired a good question that we can ask to ourself is “Am I greater or Is Lord greater in me”? Overcoming is not possible if Lord is not greater in us, the Holy Bible assures us that Lord Jesus has overcome the world that we are living, the only way where we can overcome our struggle against sin, fear and all other evils is “He must become greater, I must become less” John 3: 30 (NIV)  Read Bible Verse, if he becomes greater in us, we too will overcome all the trials and temptations.
