Fear is the condition of being afraid of something or being worried about an outcome.
We live in a world. Full of chaos and confusion which cause fear in the mind of people. Especially during this [1]pandemic period, generally, we see an increase of fear in people’s minds regardless of their Economic, social, and religious status.
Fear is not always an uncomfortable emotion; not necessarily a bad thing; it is one of the inbuilt human survival instincts. And courage is not the absence of fear but the ability to handle fearful situations.

Following are a few benefits of fear:
1. Fear alerts us and keeps us safe from the dangers.
2. Fear gives us [2]illumination of the circumstances.
3. Fear motivates us to prepare to face challenges and problems.
4. Fear keeps us cautious in our actions and choices.
5. Ultimately, every occasion of fear is an opportunity to fear God.

Unnecessary fears pull us down, push us back and hinder our progress. It can keep us in worries and anxiety; which can severely affect our mental and physical health.

We see the root of all negative fears initially in the Book of Genesis where a man committed sin (Doubted the Love of God, disbelieved the word of God and disobeyed the [3]commandment of God) in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:10).  Read Bible Verse

Lack of fear of God is the root of all unwanted fears.
Following are a few areas of fear which all human beings confront in life:
1. Fear of the enemy.
2. Fear of danger.
3. Fear of loneliness.

5. Fear of failure.
6. Fear of the future.
7. Fear of death.

Whatever may be the area of fear; the greatest promise of God is “Fear not, for I am with you”. It is said that 366 times the term ‘fear not’ is repeatedly used in the scripture.

Isaiah 8:12-13 says; “….and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the Lord of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.  Read Bible Verse

We need not to fear what others fear; let us fear God and walk in ways to overcome all unwanted fears. Faith in the presence, protection, promise and provisions of God can carry us through all the fears that hold us from a [5]triumphant life and service.
