Fear is a natural human emotion that is necessary for human life. To get rid of many dangers and achieve many successes in life, a bit of fear is beneficial, but extreme fear is very dangerous. Fear of failure on many levels in life, the uncertainty of what the future holds, over-fear in attempting something new, getting out of comfort zone are all setbacks in human life. It can lead to disappointment, depression, mental illness, and even death in some extreme cases. Hence there is an urgent need for a release from unwanted fear. The world has many solutions in the form of treatments and counseling, but it all has its limitations, only God gives God's children freedom from pointless fear.

As I mentioned earlier, fear is a natural human emotion but it is also a weapon of Satan. When we study the Word of God, we see that those who are subject to fear have failed. Peter was afraid when he walked on the water and began to sink. Elijah was frightened and wanted to die, Moses fled from the land of Egypt fearful of many things.

In Judges 7: 3 God said to the people through Gideon, “Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.”  Read Bible Verse

In Psalm 56: 3-4 David says, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God (I will praise His word), I n God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?”  Read Bible Verse

If we trust in God and are strengthened by His Word, we have deliverance from any sort of fear.

When fear enters the life of a child of God, he trusts in the Word of God, and remembers God’s promises.

We see in Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.  Read Bible Verse"

According to Zechariah 2: 8, we are like ‘apple of His eye’.

On the basis of Isaiah 49:16 God have inscribed us on the palms of His hands.  Read Bible Verse
We must always be convinced that I am an apple of God's eye, and that He has [1]inscribed me on the palms of His hands. No one can touch His eye and take us from His hand.
When fear comes in life, have faith in God and hope in life. He who is terrified can lead others into that same fear, as we see in Judges, how God commands through Gideon “he who has fear return from Mount Gilead”
 Read Bible Verse.
Our words and deeds must impart courage to many because the words and deeds of a dreadful man will make many scared.

Job says in 3:25 “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me.”
 Read Bible Verse

The next aspect of fear is that what we fear comes true. Fear makes us enslaved to Satan, disease, certain mental illnesses, and even to humans. And then to get rid of such fear people get addicted to many things. Fear works in us completely and paralyzes us, leading to unproductivity and finally failure, but if we are courageous in God, fear will fail before us.

David says, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You."
 Read Bible Verse
Trusting in God is essential if we are to overcome fear in our own lives. Those who have faith trust and hope in God will disable any fear.

Let us move forward with boldness by clinging to fact that our God is an [2]Omnipotent Sovereign who sits on the throne and is still in control of everything in our lives. Let us live fearlessly; always being aware of the fact that, that same Omnipotent Sovereign God is our Father. Let us hold on to him like how a child holds on to a Father.

Jesus says in Matthew 28:20 that “I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Read Bible Verse

May God help us to overcome fear with courage and lead a victorious life!
